Hi
Potential Porsche owner here.....!!!
Where would anyone suggest is the best place to source a 944 from ?
Budget of £1500 to £4000 ?
Simon Forrest Porsche on Ebay was v. tempting...any other silver / gold for sale anywhere ?
Is the half leather and 'Porsche' pinstrip cloth standard on the Lux model or an optional extra.
Any advice would be welcome
Cheers
Andrew

Half leather (actually cloth and vinyl) is the standard. Full cloth is an option, cloth door cards is an option also. Leather front seat facings are the commonest leather, but there was also a full leather option that included front seat backs and the rear seat.

There was another silver one for sale on here recently I think.

I know of a couple of people who have bought S2's from eBay for your budget, otherwise there is Autotrader, 911&Porsche World, the club magazine etc.

911&Porsche World, the club magazine etc

I'd go with 911 &PW or Porsche Post. You might pay a little bit more but they will generaly be enthusiasts so you stand a chance of getting a better car.

You need to join the Club to get it, then you receive a copy every month.

911&PW calssifieds are on http://www.chpltd.com/911_porsche_world/pwoclass6.html

If you call Club Office on 01608 652911 as a potential member they'll possibly send you an old copy to peruse (well they did me)

You could always buy mine !

I have sent you a E Mail.

Well Simon, I told you that I thought £4k was right.

Can't blame you for trying for more but...
