Best place to buy a 968 steering wheel?

Chaps,

OK. I am now fed up with bodging around with naff aftermarket steering wheels and bosses, and have decided to shell out on a 968 item.

So, a question. Did all 968's have the leather steering wheel fitted? I notice it is sometimes referred to as a 'Club Sport' wheel - was it only fitted to the 968 CS's?

Also, where is the best place to buy one from? Breakers seem to do them for around £120-£130, plus VAT and postage (so, not much change from £170.)

Apart from watching eBay and the PH spares adverts, does anyone else have any suggestions on where to get one of these from?

Hi Mr P.
Got mine from David at Southbound (01264 810080). He supplies genuine stock, not the horrible cheap copy that you can get from another so called supplier in the Midlands[]. Think the part no. is 000043161008YR for black. Why not try your local OPC?

Oli, got mine from Design911 they call it an RS Steering Wheel £169.00 had it a couple of years now and its excellant well worth the money.

They are over at Hainult can't be far from you?

Chaps,

Thanks for the answers. I'll try southbound. Although I'd be happy with a good second-hand one. After all, the rest of the car is second hand as well!

Are the ones withe the coloured badge original items or copies? I prefer these but would be afraid it would all come apart! Which do you have?

David, to be honest I'am not sure wether its original or not, but i am very happy with it and shows no signs of wear.
