dear john.....
i sold my 996 c4 last yr via a friend.i was in a bit of a hurry as otherwise i would have tried the porsche post-gb club advert(i note you are member).i have no experience of this
i have heard several horror stories which put me off selling such an expensive car privately but i am sure others will have positive experiences/advice.
part exing has always been very soul destroying in my experience so far....

The best way to take receive large amounts is through CHAPS electronic bank transfer system. Several people have been conned out of there cars by people using stolen or fraudulently obtained bankers drafts, apparently they can bounce like an ordinary cheque sometimes weeks after you have cashed them.

Very nice car by the way, if you like I could drive it around with a 'FOR SALE' sign in the window[:D]. If not why not try advertising on the Pistonheads web site.
Good luck.

My Cayenne sold via a featured ad on 911uk.com which cost £25.00

My ad in the Times generated no interested neither did my ad on Pistonheads
