Best road tyres ?

Chris. One man's meat is another man's poison. The Bridgestones on mine are quite good although they are not "N" spec. despite being fitted by OPC Reading []. Personally, I like Michelins and feel confident with them even though I haven't tried them on the RS yet (will have them the next time I drive it) Others will swear by other makes, but unless you are a complete driving God, I doubt any of us would be able to test any of the top makes to their full potential.

IMHO, confidence in what you are using makes a big difference.

Thanks Stewart, I should have expected that totally logical reply !

I love the fact that one can really lean on Cups, but in bad weather my rather horrid Conti Sport 2's on the GT3RS are doing a pretty good job.

I rather fancy Michelin Pilot Sport 2's --- which I believe are available in N2 (or are they just the earlier Pilot Sports ? !)

But hence my question.

I had planned these to be my de-facto purchase giving some logical connection with the behaviour of the Cups I already have but ... I also have a set of nearly new Bridgestone SO2's on a set of Porsche Cup 1 Aluminium Alloys ... decisions, decisions ...

Chris -I think you've got to go for what will cope with the worst weather you are likely to encounter -you can't go wrong with the S02's in that case!!
