I bought my 996 last June and I was given a warranty with it from TVS PRESTIGE the warranty seemed to cover a lot of things and it was with a company called WARRANTY ASSIST the renewal for this is £562 for 1 year, Is this company any good to deal with if not who is the best as I will be getting my 911 out of the garage soon and would like trouble free enjoyment and hassle free repairs should it need them, luckily I did not have to use them for the 6 months I had it, but it seems the right thing to get another
Any advise would be great, before I renew

Hi

Not offering a recommendation but information on what happened to me with a third party warranty.

Porsche put an Autoprotect Gold warranty on my C2 when I bought it 2 years ago. The water pump went after 10 months at a cost of around £800. Porsche Bristol dealt with the claim and they paid out no problem.

Perhaps Porsche dealing with it made a difference I don't know.

I never renewed it after the 12 months. You cant insure against everything in life. Fortunately the 2nd 12 months was trouble free.

I looked in to the Protecton Plan that Revolution Porsche offer, I decided to take on the risk myself in the end.

That said I have been blown away by the service I have received from Russ and the team at Revolution, incredibly fair pricing and excellent service and workmanship.

I would expect that their Protection Plan scheme would be similarly of a high standard.
