hi can any one help please i have 911 and want to fit 993 brakes to it but cant find the spacer to bolt the caliper to and bolt to hub brembo calipers and do i have to upgrade my wheels to as they are only 16" wheels i have .

Take it to a specialist for a brake upgrade. You have not provided enough info for anyone here to help you.

They have been making 911s from 1964 so there are lots of different set-ups out there.

Don't mess around with them unless you know what you are doing.

its a 1984 911 3.2 the front shocker or strut is part of the hub need the part that fits to hub and then can bolt caliper to it

I'm not sure there is a separate part, does the caliper not attach directly to the hub? It's been a wee while since I've done the brakes on my 993 and I would not have had a reason to note such a piece but ....

Standard 993 calipers will fit within 16 inch wheels, big reds wont

You could try posting on the 993 forum

There is a section on brakes where you should post your question.

The wheel offsets are quite different on the 3.2s so you will not get the bigger Brembos behind them.

You are better going for RSR 74 style calipers to retain the wheels.

One of the best upgrades you can do is to fit Boxster 4 pot monobloc callipers to your 3.2
They will fit within 6 X 16" Fuchs
I did, and it solved all brake issues, you only need to do the fronts. No need to change master cyl ,but advise braided hoses
Weight of the callipers is much ,much less than the iron callipers you have on so steering is improved and braking is night and day. If you are intending to really mash the brakes eg. Knockhill use Castrol SRF fluid , pricey but this together with the monoblocs is a great setup.
I have sold my 3.2 but I did keep the monobloc kit together with adaptor bolts.
If you are interested in a true bolt on upgrade ( will take a specialist around 2 hrs) I should have everything you need including brand new Porsche Boxster pads.
pm me for further chat and to talk money

Hi mike so if i buy boxter front calipers you have the brakets and bolts to secure them to the 911 hubs. how much would you be looking for the brakets and bolt or is it the calipers too. thanks Davo.

I have everything , calipers , adaptor bolts , pads .
Peter from Motortune removed the kit in Jan 09
I will need to go into the garage and check everthing, just to make sure
Prefer not to discuss price on a public forum will pm you.
I'm sure I also have a pic of the kit installed , if I can find it I will post it here.
