Big Red Refurbishment

Does anyone know where I can get my brake calipers refurbished, they have some of the red coating coming away. Is it paint or a powder coat, is the porsche script available from porsche ? Thanks

Had mine recently done by Tognola through Jaz - I asked Jaz to use Tognola - Jaz had to send them back to be re-done as finish not good at all. Few toys being chucked from tognola's pram, came back second time and final lacquer coat not that great so Jaz got them finished locally. Not sure if this is indicative of Tognola's current attitude to doing calipers or just a one-off. There are some brake re-furb companies in the back of the porsche mags who do the refinishing so maybe enquire there.

Should also say that always heard good things about tognola so dont necessarily discount them - maybe I was just unlucky.
Cheers,

Ben.

I have just done mine myself. Easy. Halfords high temp paint and Porsche 500 degree logos off ebay. New bleed valves and caps.

I got a quote of £175 each from the Porsche Post caliper guys who powdercoat them. I guess they do new plates and pistons/seals in the price so not bad.

£5 for a couple of bleed valves
$50 for set of dust seals
£16 per piston and seal set. 36mm and 44mm (4pot)
£16 for a couple of plates.
