Just got in from dropping the car off for her full service including new belts/cam chain/ cam chain tensioner other bits as well, get it all sorted ,been running sweet as as peanut since ive had it tho have always been worried about the cam chain cas im pretty sure it aint been changed after checking through all service receipts, cover 159k atm so has done well....
 
I hope you've been preparing the credit card for the shock [:eek:]

It's worth it for peace of mind though
 
hehe aye , well worth it a shade under six hundred quid, but spot on job, apparently it was the original tensioner and still in reasonably good nick although the chain was well past its sell by date...looks like who ever did the last service made a bad cowboy job on not replacing belts and shearing nuts...had them sorted and renewed (looking at the service book this was a porsche specialist!!)
the mechanic who did the job for me said the engine was a peach and ran perfectly ,shame it wasnt serviced as it should have been previously[8|]
