Bit early for Spring!

Took the car out of the garage this morning, walked back into the garage and trod on something that looked like a piece of flaked off black paint from a rusty piece of metal, near side front, mmm, wondered what it was thought it might be from something else I'd been working on. Reversed to go out, felt a faint clunk on the front near side. Driving down the road heard a sound like someone dropping a spanner, looked in rear view mirror to see a loop of metal in the middle of the road, on closer inspection turns out its from a spring, my spring, the clues all fit together. Interestingly this must have broken while stationary in the garage. So, I would be grateful for any advice on replacing front springs, best place to source and likely price.
Photo shows corrosion at the point of fracture.

If you're thinking of direct replacement, then your PC should be your first port of call - don't forget you PCGB discount. You will need to replace the pair i.e. both sides.
Otherwise use it as an opportunity to upgrade the vehicle's whole suspension system. I'm sure there will be plenty of advice here on which way to go with this.
Regards,

Clive

Yes, important to get the right ones, £218 from pc, about half that from autodoc, who I've had a waterpump and vacuum pump from, all oem and good service, look to be about half that price.
