My car is in this week for yet another water leak which I spotted on the SW drive...
This time i've been told its a leaking connector on the back of a radiator, I'll find out what has been replaced later..

However they have lent me a CaymanR to get home in [:)] cracking drive back home to be fair- I did come the long and twisty way home.
PDK though....[&:] I'm really not sure, it's not got paddles but I'm not adverse to the buttons anyhow.. however its need to take 7th gear was a little annoying to say the least, admittedly I left it in drive and kept taking gears where required- I'll try full manual on the way back [;)]

The point is that the dealer has called me to say the rear tyres are worn (aren't they always) however the cords are just showing on one rear tyre(so in my books I got my monies worth[;)]), so whilst it's in they have asked if I want them doing.. at this point I did sit down to consider my options...
I've said Yes as I think the black rubbery stuff may be useful for the Kings and Castle trip at the end of the month [] and to my surprise they are being fitted for £20 more than Black circles can do them for... so in my books thats a result as I know they will be careful and more importantly they have them in stock [:D]

Twice I've had tyres fitted by an OPC and both times they were spot on- last time they were oddly £100 over budget!

Always worth giving your OPC a shout...

Agreed, Colchester OPC price matched Camskill on my rear RE050As recently which was a pleasant surprise, took the old tyres home too as they weren't quite finished off.

Hi Gary
What make of tyre did you get, I am struggling to hold of a Pirelli p zero 19x295x30 for mine, OPc haven't been able to help and are telling me because I need one tyre I should change all 4 at my own cost! Not impressed, and despite the other three tyres being 4mm plus and it being a warranted OPc car, I don't qualify for good will,

I'm on Bridgestones, which I'd usually expect to be difficult to get my hands on.. and one of the reasons I said Yes to the OPC..

A while back if the OPC couldn't get the tyres they were giving a lot of goodwill and even paying for the tyres you didn't need replacing to move you to another brand.
It shows the difficulty that Porsche are having after Clarkson gave the 991 zero stars because he couldn't get a replacement tyre! [&:]

Hi Jon,

I just replaced all my tyres and wheels and have got four used P-Zeros on my old Carrera S wheels (wheels are immaculate condition totally unmarked !). I keep meaning to put the wheels and tyres up for sale but haven't had the time.

All four tyres are legal. Its the rears that have probably got about 1-2k miles left on them, the front tyres are in good shape. OPC Hatfield are storing them for me until I can get them home. If your interested I will see if they can give me a tread depth measurement..........

Let me know if your interested.......... we can work the spondoolies out later [;)]

My tyre sizes are:

Front 235/30/19
Rear 305/35/19

cheers
Mike
