Picked up the car last night - at least Lesley did. Beat the new road tax rate by hours, makes all the difference on a £60k car!
First impressions? Ahhhh! that new car smell does it for me every time...
Looks pretty cool in black with the smokey back windows and the rear looks quite tough on the street. Diffuser, exhausts through the bumper, heavy roof spoiler.
Air suspension seems a bit smoother on broken surfaces than the steel set up on our last one and engine has a different note, a bit more hard edged.
Being a bit old school, I'm going to be gentle for the first few hundred miles to bed things in, so can't give a view on the performance yet.
Downside? The memory settings on the front seat has disappeared.
Have to wait till the weekend to get some pics.

Peter

[:D] You're right about the air suspension and I guess the harder exhaust note is with the sport button down!!!

Well...
Basalt Black looks the business but a devil to keep clean
Black interior IMO needs a sunroof to let light in on a dull day
Air suspension feels less bouncy than our last Cayenne S which had standard steel set up. Have to be honest, the sport setting doesn't feel significantly different to me, but only done a few miles with it switched on so far. The bigger wheels don't seem to affect the ride, but maybe the air helps.

Satnav is fine as is Bose. We opted for a space saver spare wheel, which I'd recommend as we got caught out without one in France last year (the old Bose bass unit took the place of the spare wheel)
Bi-xenons - great
Rain sensors for the wiper ditto though neither strictly necessary
Multifunction wheel and phone both OK, am used to them as Porsche carried over the interior from the old model.

Parking sensors are really irritating. They bleep away when close to other cars in traffic, near street furniture etc, not from the forward or rear facing sensors, but the ones pointing to the side of the car. They're switched off now...

New S spec engine feels really lively but don't believe the claimed improvement in fuel consumption - still 19mpg!
Overall, great car, even if my wife received her first one finger salute the other day.

Hope this helps a bit.

Peter
