Black Circle Tyres

Just a quick recommendation for Black Circle for anyone looking for tyres.

Girlfriend binned both offside tyres on the car driving it (over a traffic island) at the weekend and had local tyre centre replace them at cost of just under £500. She was so worried that she did it before I got back and they'd replaced them with different tyres. Since car is 4WD needs the same all round - luckily the others are nearly done and I've just ordered 2 more from Black Circle for the grand total of £272 inclusive of mobile fitting charge and VAT. Apart from the fact that tyre centre ought to know that 4WD need identical tyres it's another recommendation for BC who were very good last summer when I needed 2 new rears. Sometimes these places appear to be competitive one day and not so the next but they seem consistently cheap.

Not sure if they supply track tyres for the 'Ring supremos..

I've just been quoted £473 at North East Tyre & Exhausts for a new all round set of Bridgestone S02 N4 plus £30 for a geometry check and adjustment on the front which seems to of helped with an under steer issue I've had recently. Best part was the back had a few thousand miles left so they changed the front and gave me 3 months before having to come back and get the back done at the held price above, which I will be doing this month. Very professional with state of the art machinery and the first place Ive ever been to that wanted to point out any alloy damage before they would go near it so as to save any later arguments, a nice touch.

Too late for you now Michael, but next time you might also want to try Event Tyres (www.event-tyres.co.uk/) as they are mobile, and just down the road from you on Remenham Hill. They were pretty competitive last time I checked.

My local garage (High-Q?) supplied 2x Bridgestone S-02 N4's for £220 fitted. BlackCircle was the wrong side of £300 when I asked for a quote (as was National Tyres&Autocare). NTA have a price promise but the bloke said he didn't believe someone would do them for £220 and would only honour the promise if I brought in a written quote. I prefer to give the local garage the business than them anyway; so local garage it was.
