black or white dials

Can someone explain which models have which colours of instrument dials. Having looked at many ads, I see most 993's have black dials, but some have white dials and one very odd one I saw had a centre dial which was white, whilst the rest were black (presumably one had been replaced at some stage in its life).

Then some have chrome surroundings around the dials ....

As for coloured dials I don't think it is a model distinction, rather an option on any 993. There might have been some special models series (Vesuvious 2S comes to mind) that had them by default.

Chrome surrounds are usually aftermarket fitment and just press over the black surrounds. Sometimes glued on which makes them a pain to remove.

White dials where fitted to my Carrera 2 by a previous owners £480 + VAT......I have the receipt....looks like its just applied tranfers too!!!...no way would I pay that!!!....do look good though!!!
