Blast from the past

Seeing as we have a large gathering of front engined Porsche tomorrow I thought I'd post this picture I just found on an old backup CD of pictures. It is from another one of the clubs 944 events that was organised back in 2002, but can anyone pinpoint where it is?

I think it looks quite moody [8D]

This was taken on the Titanic Lakes and Fells Weekend in March 2002.
I will try to search my records for the exact place shown in the picture. I believe it was where Nick Fearn, worried about the drop in front of us, pulled his hand brake on sooo hard that it wouldn't release and the cables had to be undone! Sorry Nick!
It was a fantastic weekend to remember with a high speed drive ( up to 100 mph - who said that?!?) through the Lake District minor mountain roads, a line of 22 (I seem to recall) 944s parading through Kendall much to the astonishment of the locals - heads just kept going back and forth as yet another 944 went past, a boat trip on a very rough and windy Derwent Water, snow, rain and sun, and great company, superbly organised by Mark Roberts - 944 Register Member Profile PP April 2002.

I forgot to mention that it was taken between 12.40 and 12.50 on 3rd March going by the times of my own pictures taken on that stop. Sad or what!.

......and the prize goes to Mr Ralph, for one of the most precise answers to any question, at any event in the entire history of the world (probably) [:D]

I had to cut out the extreme right hand side of the picture to get it down below the 200kb limit for the forum, but had I left it in you would have seen five people standing round his car as he dismantled the handbrake lever so we could go home.
