BLAUPUNKT TORONTO SQR46 CODE HELP

Paul 944 s2

New member
Does anyone have an owners manual or knowledge of these radios. The one fitted to my recently purchased 964 just shows ---- when turned on. Thanks in advance, Paul

I assume it's asking you for an unlock code. I've got some Blaupunkt Code calculators that work out the code from the serial number of the unit. If you email me the serial number, I'll give it a go for you.

It isn't giving me a chance to input the CODE, it is just displaying the 4 dashes. Does it need to be left switched on for a certain period of time or a combination of buttons pressed to initiate the code input. I believe I have the CODE, thanks Paul

Thanks for your help Richard, but I am sure someone will have the manual lying about and will be able to answer this easily. Paul

Hi there, I was just browsing on the forum and noticed your request for help. I have the operating instructions for that type of radio cassette, not that I have one fitted in my C4. What you need to know is - By pressing buttons 1 to 4 you can enter the 4 digit code. Press button 1 until the first number of the code appears in the display, then press buttons 2, 3 and 4 likewise until your code appears e.g. 1234. Now press first of all on the left side and then on the right side of the station search tuning rocker switch. The unit should switch to the last station that was selected. Hope this works. If you need a sight of all of the instructions I could photocopy and send them to you. Just as a bit of background my mother (who died last October) was born in the Ballyclare area and we used to visit the family farm at Ballyeaston and I still keep in touch with my cousins etc in the area. Next time I come over, hopefully in my Porsche maybe I could meet up with some Porsche Club members over there?

Sorry, I should have read the instructions properly. It seems to me that before you can enter the code you need to keep station pushbuttons 1 and 4 pressed in while switching the radio on, it should then display 0000 and then you can input the code as per my previous reply. It seems that you have 4 tries at inputting the code before you need to wait for an hour before trying again. Good luck. As I said before I will send the copied instructions if necessary.

Thanks Brian for your help, I will try this later. I live at Moorfields about 8 miles from Ballyclare. It would be great to meet up if you are over, Paul
