Bleeding the system-Gunson Eezibleed Kit

pincher

New member
poss a stupid question , BUT ,I want to change my brake and clutch fluid, I will be using a Gunson Eezibleed Kit, Do i
1- just use the air pressure to empty the old hydraulic oil out out of the system,so the lines are empty, then refill with new fluid.
or
2 - do i use the new fluid to push the old fluid out,and is it easy to spot the new fluid once old has gone through :)

Many thanks again

You use the new fluid to push the old fluid out. There is normally a noticeable colour change from old to new.

Be sure to reduce the pressure of the wheel you use as the air reservoir when you use the kit. Too much pressure could cause one of the containers of fluid to leak or burst, which wouldn't be pretty.

Oli.

The weak point tend to be the lid from the kit you attach to the reservoir. I found that 15psi was enough to push it through but not too much to cause problems.
