blown fuse??

Yesterday I was changing the bulb in the glove box and managed to blow the fuse protecting the interior lighting, alarm going off etc etc. Traced it in the fuse box and replaced. When I came to plug the optimate back in the cigarette lighter socket it wouldn't register on the unit. I subsequently checked the cigarette lighter in the socket and it wouldn't work either. I've checked the fuse that protects the cigarette lighter and its ok.

Has anybody an idea of what I might have done, its got me baffled

When I bought my car the cigarette lighter didn't work either, had to replace the whole socket and everything was fine.

Mine was ok till I blew the fuse changing the bulb, I took the charger out before I did it so I know it was working 10 minutes earlier

Fuse D5? 15A. If it is intact, all I can suggest doing is unclipping the horseshoe, and see if you are actually getting 12v and earth to the back of the lighter socket.

Can anyone help with the horseshoe removal before I go breaking things, can't see anything on search.

Checked all the fuses on the board and all are ok

sorted, seems I'd loosened the connector block on the cigarette lighter socket when fiddling with the glovebox lamp wires.

Thanks all
