Bluetooth for 06 model

Hi I recently purchased a 997 carrera 4s 06 plate which has the sim card to connect to the phone system! Other than a Parrot system can anyone recommend anything else? Thanks in advance.

I have a PAYG sim card in the Cayenne which has the same PCM as yours. I just then divert the calls from my mobile to that number. Once you have the divert and cancel divert numbers set up in the memory of your mobile it takes seconds to do. Only problem is forgetting to cancel the divert.......[;)]

Yes I have a tip, does yours have the AUX input sockets under the center arm rest? If so use a stereo Bluetooth headphone and plug in to the AUX socket. Then when you connect your phone to the Bluetooth head phone and press the AUX input on PCM unit you can play all your phone music or internet radio through your PCM and Bose. Also depending where you mount the Bluetooth head phone thing (as it has a Mic for calls) you also get phone calls over PCM from your mobile. I mounted my Bluetooth head phone to the left of steering wheel, people can hear me clearly. Use a 3.5 mm Jack lead to get from arm rest to steering wheel by tucking in the wire along center consol so out of sight as well.

It works surprisingly well and if you are listening to PCM music then get a call you will hear the blue tooth headset ringer and just press PCM AUX button (0) I think and take the call.

This set up also allows the PCM navigation to work along with music from your phone, so happy days for not much money!

My Bluetooth headset thingy is called i-Tech clip. It's old now but might be newer models available.

Well worth a try.

but to fit the AUX feature may not be that hard......maybe check with your local OPC it Google for anyone that's done it. Does your armrest have two sections? The upper lid for phone module and the lower one for storage? The AUX socket is in the lower one at the back. I'm not with the car at the moment so can't take any photos to show details.

Thanks Angus, Yeah it has two sections but only a 12v socket in the bottom one. I'll have a look on Google and see if anyone has had the same problem. Appreciate your help.

Bought a sim card this weekend and the phone works a treat. Just need to sort the music out now!! Thank you.
