There are a couple of places available for this event due to late cancellations. The track has undergone a full refurbishment in the last couple of years and is really good. I took part last year and it was really good. It's just £100 for a full day, albeit sessioned and is PCGB event so covered by most insurers.
The 'novice' title is very misleading, you will be placed in a group of similar ability and set-off at 30 second intervals so you effectively have the track to yourself which I found very liberating last year, all you had to worry about was trying to catch the guy in front and not be reeled in from behind. In practice this translated in to full concentration and absolute commitment, really good.
It's also a really relaxed and well run event tucked away in quiet Lincolnshire but easily accessed from the M180/M1. The Forest Pines Hotel is just off the M180 (J4?) and is only 20 minutes away from Blyton.
