Body shop in region

Anyone reccomend a good body shop in our region? I want the front skirt respraying and armourfend replacing plus I have the ubiquitous door slam rust issue (see letter in 911&PW) as I've decided to keep her for a while. I've tried the place in Cannock (forget the name) but they never post a quote despite 2 visits. Had a quote from Selbys in Nottingham and Chartwell in Derby but both are up close to £2K which seems a little excessive. I'm way out of warranty and beside Porsche UK have already refused any goodwill on the bodywork despite the joke that is a 10 year corrosion warranty so I dont need it to be official porsche bodyshop. Just a good job.

Neil

Although it's not exactly region 8 territory, you could do an awful lot worse than Impact in Brighouse; (J25 on M62). Their work is phenomenal!

Zentrum in Nottingham (Carlton) have a wizard for the bodywork issues. He did my ductail spoiler and some rectifying work after my front lid flew open mid acceleration.

Good prices as well.

Bwooo, Where are the days that I brought my trusty 924 and 944 to Lodgesports in Manchester for a wee service....?

Only 1,5 hours from Nottingham![:D][:D][:D]

I did uswe the place in Cannock (can't remember their name either[]) and the work they did was very good. Don't help I know but sometimes a busy repairshop is a good repairshop ?

Shorade (official porsche repairer) Walsall Rd Cannock tel:01543 462240. though i strongly advise you to sit down with a strong cup of tea at the ready for when they tell you the price.

Thanks for the replies. Just have to decide how far to go, just the bumper, or wings/bonnet also. Then there's the armourfend which is expensive but oh so effective.
Deep breath ...
