I had a "glass out" rust removal, new wing fitted and a complete respray last year from Bill Heany on the Industrial Estate, just through the Tyne Tunnel. (The name escapes me). Phone number 0191 2828560. If you call ask for Ron or Clark.

Excellent job in my opinion, and he is the official Porsche repairer for the Porsche Centre Newcastle.

As you live in Teesside you might want to try Redline Racing. They have a body shop which we (R3) visited last year. They are at Thornaby.
It looks a good facility and the workmanship demonstrated looked excellent.

Good Luck, and I know how you feel as I had to have a new wing because I dropped a large roll of Visqueen on it in a similar situation to you.
I was too bone idle to move the car.

There is place in Annfield Plain near Stanley, I used last year, after the car got knocked in the car park at the WOTY and the other side when some kids catapulted it when it was having a puncture repair. Not a good year for the car really!

It may be too far for you but its called Annfield Autosprays and they did a really good job and a courtesy car was available if i wanted it.

They were very competitively priced too. Let me know if you need any more details

Try Pride and Joy Classics in Middlesbrough. A few of the TIPEC members had work done there and were very pleased with the results (and price!).

I can recommend Bill Heaney like above as he's worked on my 993 and is the official Porsche OPC repair centre for the area. Redline Racing has bought the Car Spa next door, no history of using it however Simon runs a tight ship and its under his control so should be good so as not to affect his service side.

Removing a small dent and painting two doors and into the wings cost me a lot less than that!

Wow! I couldnt exactly call that a bargain!!!, got my nose done for no where near that at Bill Heany, however that was a few years ago and before his new work shop!

Jesus Just got a quote for my wing £769-64 Plus vat

The Quote is from Paul Quin in newcastle area just through the tunnel i nearly fainted when he told me how much...... so now Peter at RPR 626 where i bought it from is going to help.. but then it needs painting and a good match..

cheers all

I would second Simons comment for Pride and Joy Classics in Middlesbrough, they repaire the bottom of my wings on my 944 3 years ago and still fine, they even took it back after a year when one of the repairs went bad and re-did the jobb with no issues or charges.

Well thanks for all reply`s ... Pride and Joy Classics it is... ill get an estimate and post a before and after pic on here now i found out how to do it and keep you informed for future reference

cheers all

Hi All.. Just been to Pride and Joy Classic`s for the estimate on my wing dent, we decided because it has a few stone chips on the bonnet ect that we will paint the full front end this includes bumper removal and paint, 2 wings and the bonnet.. He has given me a cast iron guarantee of a perfect job as ive told him im very fussy.... His reply was, if your not happy with the car after its finished you can take it to porsche and ill pay for it myself and this i guarantee... so im also geting the wheel`s re-painted as well this includes removing the tyres the price given for the work is £800 all in... now i think thats a very fair price given the last estimate of the same price just for a dent removal and paint in newcastle... ive taken a couple of pic`s of the before and will take pic`s of the after.. and post them on here so can someone help me to put the pic`s on as i dont know how to do it...

cheers

Barrie

Glad you got sorted out, like I said they did work on my car and the colour match was perfect (Titan Grey) so I hope all goes well for you. I must add when I was in last time there were a lot of nice cars being painted Honda NSX, Ferrari 356 etc and I believe he also used to sort out the new Hondas from the local dealer when they arrived damaged so they have a good reputation and client listing.
