Hi All

Well the Turbo is in having M030 suspension rebuilt, new anti roll bar bushes, 12,000 mile service and aircon compressor rebuilt and upgraded to R134a, etc etc etc. Cannot wait for the bill!!!! []

Anyway whilst I am in a spending mood I thought I would get my sills repainted, as like many 944's they suffer with stone chipping from the wheels.

Unfortunately I have only recently moved back to the North West and I am completely out of touch with any reputable body shops.

If any one has used any preferably around the Wirral who specialise in classic car restoration, body repairs etc, rather than weld a new wing on and paint it, like many shops, I would love to hear from you.

Thanks once again

Lee

Vincent Biggs in Buckley (down near the railway station) does all the work for Two-Mills garage (Honda + Exotics dealer - Porsche, Ferrari, Merc etc).

Cheers Black I will give Vincent Biggs a try.

Went to 9M Ian when I wanted some work done on my car only 3 weeks ago (service, suspension rebuild etc etc) and they snubbed their nose up at me saying they do not do much work on old nails (well may as well have said that!!!), like my car. All though I understand their work is very good, first impressions where not good.

Thanks for the help so far.

Hi Lee

I have a white 944 S2 and took it to 9M for a quote on the body work and they quoted £1500 for the front and rear arches, rather expensive!!!

I eventually took the car to:

Roberts Refinishing Ltd

Based in Ellesmere Port. I was put on to them through a friend who had a bump in his lexus and took it back to the dealer and thats where they get there work done. The service and work was A1 and the car now looks like new!! I would recomend them to anyone. You should be able to find the address off yell.co.uk if not i'll dig out the invoice for you and give you the details.

Cheers for that Dave.

What work did you have done and what sort of money was it?

My car is still being put back together, so I will pop along there and see what they say when I get it back.

Thanks again

Lee

Alright Lee

I had the front and rear arches done as there were signs of rust showing and they tuched up the front and rear too to remove some stone chips total cost £700 Bargain for a job well done!
