Bodywork specialist near Northampton?

I used to know a great chap who did all my work to a concourse like standard for an insultingly low price but typically now that I need him most he's disappeared and his premises are deserted?! ...Perhaps he was too cheap for his own good!

So As per the title does anyone know of a good local chap who could re-spray my car for reasonable money. I'm not looking for a concourse type Porsche approved re-spray because it's just not worth it but I would like someone who really knows what they are doing and will do it right.

Ben,

It's not IN Northampton - but not too far away. I had my respray done at TABS Enterprises in Woburn Sands and was very impressed with their work and their attitude. Several cars have been there since following my recommendation and, AFAIK, all have been happy with their work. Call Tim Brewer or Steve Moss on 01908 281550. Have a look in the October 2006 copy of PP for some more info.

Regards

Dave

I too would like a respray to my cab (with GP White instead of the current Alpine White). Just wonder what is the respray cost for your C4 Dave?

Charles,

The bill for mine was £2500 + VAT. It's very difficult to make a direct comparison between any two cars since the work required will be different in each case. I took my car over to TABS with the intention of just getting them to look at it in some detail, discuss what I wanted doing and then getting a price.

In my case they had to remove the body kit and re-fit it - quite a bit of messing around - and then remove the doors, sunroof, spoiler and windows. There were a lot of little things that they picked up on during the work - and never did they mention anything like paying extra!!

They do take their time - don't go expecting a rush job - but, IMHO, they are very good at what they do.

I can vouch for the quality of Daves paintwork, it is absolutely top notch [8D] and for what they did, I think he got a bargain price.

About two years ago I had some small work done at Linslade Motor Sevices near Leighton Buzzard run by Roger Olney, his number is 01525 374009. At the time I thought it was fantastic and he charged an extremely cheap £100 a panel. I now know that it was merely a reasonable paint job, but if you are tidying up a car on a budget then I would still recommend him

I'm planning on using TABS for mine when it's ready. Was very impressed with their attitude and nothing seemed like it would be too much trouble.
Best regards,
Peter

Thankyou v.much for all your responses. I will try TABS first and see what their instinctual approach is to my budget. If not I'll call Pauls suggestion (can't be as bad as my current re-spray).
