Hi Guys,
Opened the front boot of my 53 plate (Reg Feb 04) Boxster S last week, only to find a fury lodger had made a nest. Some carpet damage, but not too bad. Bonnet had been ajar due trickle charger cable.
However, after removing the nest, I reset the trickle charger (with as advised, the negative battery connection removed) only to shut the bonnet fully! Now can’t open the bonnet as there is no power to release.
I’ve 'youtubed' the issue and whilst my car has a fuse connection, which I’ve tried without success, as it appears that it requires the battery to be fully connected. I’ve also tried accessing the bonnet cable from under the wing of both NSF and OSF (conflicting advice on the net as to the age and continental nature of the cars), but with no success. Don't want try again until I know which side I need to access.
So can anyone advise if there is a cable to find and which side of the car should I be looking. Alternatively, any other ideas?
I have tried my two local to York Porsche garages and they have both gone out of business in recent times. Any ideas as to any alternatives for servicing MOT etc.?
Cheers
