Bonnet adjustment

JB 3.2

New member
I would like to adjust the front bonnet on my car for a better fit, at the moment it sits up slightly at the front and could do with pulling down further. What's the best way to do this?[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Loosen the locknut on the central lock pin, enough to let you screw up the pin .trying it a little at a time-also check that the 2 rubber buffers ,one ea side allow the bonnet to close closer-they can be scewed up & down by hand.
Don't overdo it as if you slam the bonnet shut too tightly ,you may find it difficult to open it again-you may need an assistant to sit on the bonnet edge whilst you pull the release handle-finally ,tighten up the locknut.

No pin on a 993 they have a catch. The catch can be adjusted but is bolted to the car not the bonnet.

That goes to show how clever one can be in the face of ignorance-I assumed the catch was the same as a 964-doh.[&o]

My bonnet catch on the 964 is adjusted by two (allen) bolts. [&:]
