Bonnet and Boot problems!

I have just purchased a 1998 boxter for some weekend fun and have enjoyed the car immensely. However, when I bought the car I lifted the handle within the door cill to open the bonnet and it worked fine. A day later I cannot lift the handle for the boot or bonnet to open them! the boot will open on the key tag when you press the button, but I cannot open the bonnet to no avail. I dont want to snap the handle, is there something I should do or does the car need looking at! I love this car dearly, and have named her my newest child, being called porscha! god how sad! but would like her to be just right! any suggestions?

your bonnet/boot release has a solenoid under it that locks the handles in place when you lock the car and likewise when you unlock the car so suspecting the solenoid is at fault, try pressing the lock button on the dash a few times to see if it will unlock the handles.. worth a try i think..

Thanks for the speedy reply! I see that your signature says South Yorkshire indy porsche centre, since I am based in Rotherham!, have you a web site or any contact details incase of further problems? will try what you said when I get home tonight, hope it works! whilst I am here though! the airbag light is remaining on all the time! any suggestions? I have heard it maybe the seatbelt tensioners or clips? any suggestions?

our web address www.pecarspecialists.co.uk and we are just down the road at park springs Barnsley, you can get full details off the website mate...
