Bonnet badge gone

I took a drive to the beach and walked the dog for a couple of hours but when I came back the badge looked like this, just wondering if it can happen or if someone has hacked it off? It was there the night before as I washed the car.

Never seen that happen without tampering before, but at least the paint isn't damaged.

New ones are less than 30 quid from Porsche and really tidys up the front end
 
Odd, the back with pins is still there?

looks like the lever went in just right of the point at the bottom?

Happened to me, and thankfully the paint escaped.
