Hello everyone. This is my first post. Can anyone help with mybonnet catch mechanism. My bonnet does not close and lock. The cable is fine but the small spring has broken. I dont know how to fix the spring or if I can buy a spring. I cant seem to gain access to take it off and properly investigate it. The top has 4 rivets. I am stuck and I miss driving as I cant secure my bonnet.
Thanks in advance.

All the best Brett :)

Just thought I should let you know that the spring on the lower catch broke so rather than fiddling with it or finding an used one I purchased a new bottom bonnet catch and fixed it myself (£25). Just need to drill out the four rivets and attach the cable and fix new rivets. Make sure that the rivets are exactly at the same place. Porsche mechanick quoted one hour of labour and their computer quoted half hour labour. Did think about letting them do it but they couldnt book it in for a week. So saved money and got satisfaction of doing it myself and got it done fast. Thanks to brett and Adrian.
