Boost guage installation

I assume boost gauges come with an engine bay mounted transducer to convert the air pressure signal to an electrical signal so you only need to take an electrical wire through to the interior of the car? If so where can this wire be routed as I wouldn't want to start drilling holes in the car bulkhead?

Anyone found a boost guage that fits reasonably well into the square hole of a 968 cubby-hole with minimal modification?
 
I have run extra cables and the pipe for the boost guage through existing grommets up behind the wiper linkage on the drivers side. I had a blanked off grommet there plus some space could be found in the existing cable grommets. Be carefull to clip cables out of the way of the wiper mechanism. IIRC I replaced the grommet through the panel in front of the vacuum resovoir to gain extra space as the originals are quite tight.

Lindsey racing do a proper integrated gaugepod that replaces the A pillar trim for LHD cars.

Andrew, could you not use any influence with them to reverse the mold and start making a RHD version too? [;)]

you could always get a LHD car....... [:D] (plus that way, when answering questions, I wouldn't have to think about which side i'm sending people to to find things!)
