Boost valve

Ive just been looking at the linsey racing manually adjustable boost valve and was thinking of getting one. Has anyone else used one and what did they think of them ??

Is this the black MBC knob? If so i've got one and it seems to work perfectly fine although I belive they do bleed boost at high boost levels and RPM. I've not noticed much boost bleed - I think at Weltmiester my boost bled from 0.8 bar peak (or just under) at 3,500 rpm ish down to 0.6 bar at the red line which I belive is to be expected for the K26/6 turbo fitted to our 220bhp cars, so it appears on my car at least the MBC isn't loosing me too much boost at high RPM. However i've now upped my boost to 1.05bar so I am looking forward to the next Weltmiester day to see what i'm getting now. It certainly feels alot more spritely!!

It's mounted on the rear of the cam cover on the bolts that attach the lifthing eye loop thing at the back of the engine. Initially I was a bit concerned that the vibration of the engine might cause damage to the valve but so far so good. 944 enignes are so smooth anyway i'm sure the valve will be fine.

Remember it doesn't fit a standard wastegate. Unless budget is very tight I'd get an EBC personally.
