Boot Badge

When i bought my 968 Sport last year it had been debadged. Ive since discovered that a replacement Sport emblem is nigh on impossible to find as they have been discontinued.

As a temporary measure I had a vinyl sticker made up in the same font which although it kind of serves its purpose looks pretty crap in comparison and is getting scruffy white edges from polishing etc. My only thought was to order a 968 CS emblem (still available) and badge it as a 968 S by not fitting the 'C' (each digit is seperate i beleive).

Does anybody think i'd get away with this as looking good or do you think it would look wrong/rubbish etc ?

Comments etc greatly appreciated.

Worth trying the usual breakers (apologies if you've tried them already)?

IMO the car looks better with no badges at all. but if you have a vinyl one you can always claim it is a weight saving measure[:D]

If you fit a normal one, itl get more white on it with the wax,,, And itl be harder to clean off..... Did you get the decal from Highgate house.??/ Rick Cannel.??
I have a normal raised type that i took off my car, but its a little distorted...

I got a Sport emblem no bother from Chester OPC when I prepped my Sport up prior to selling it. At the Parts Dept they said they had a few available; didn't need to order direct from Germany. Have your chassis number, that's all you'll need.
It was a couple of years ago mind, so things may have changed, but I don't suppose the emblems move that fast so it may just be worth a shout.

The SPORT badge doesn't actually appear on the Porsche parts system, only the '968' and 'CS' badges actually have a part number.

As the Sport was a UK only variation of the Club Sport I believe only a limted number of badges were produced.

I recently obtained one from Porsche Centre Wilmslow via Porsche GB. Apparently the last one they had remaining.
