Boot carpet question

In the pic look on right hand side. What does carpet 'pop' onto? Mine has nothing there? On the left side there is is panel it pops onto.
It's a 1990 964 C2 Targa.

I have exactly the same issue. I think there should be some sort of trim panel there (one of the cars I looked at had it in place). I don't really know what it looks like or what it is called so I would be interested in the resonse to this post too!
 
You've got a bit missing. I can't check/photo mine for you at the moment but I believe your unused poppers should fix to studs on a metal plate on that side.
 
Hi Guys could someone check this on their car as I'm having no joy with Porsche and/or aftermarket retailers on this one?

Just got my car back today. I'll try and get a photo for you as soon as I can.
 
Hi Piers,
In good faith I went to the garage armed with camera in hand in order to take a pic, [&:] exactly the same shot as you, only to find the fixings on mine are velcro and the plastic panel, which on yours has 3 press-studs on the half that is shown, on mine it is in one solid piece right across, which slides down channels either side, which looks totally different to what your pic shows. As my car is a '93 i can only guess there must have been a change somewhere along the line ! sorry [&:]
 
They look the same as the metal brackets used at the rear (passenger end) of the boot in the 993. On mine they seem very prone to working lose, so have probably fallen off.
 
At last! JZ Machtech have found the parts - they had to speak to Porsche in Germany as the parts are not on the PET(?) system.
 
Hi Guys,

These brackets are in PET page 321 item 9 porsche part number 964 624 033 00 they are shown for the top of the carpet but are the same all round.
screw number-N 013 957 5
spacer number- 944 503 255 00
