Boot release cable snapped

Where would the assembled sages suggest that I go to buy a new cable for my boot release, which turns out to be the cause of me not being able to open the boot without crawling about over the rear seats and ending up with greasy fingers?

I await the collected wisdom.[:)]
Cheers,

Graham

I'd get a price from an OPC, specifically Adrian at Exeter on 01392 822841, for something like that - you might well be pleasantly surprised - or alternatively you might get a new story to tell on the subject of how expensive Porsche parts are.

I'm sure I saw one on ebay right now!

Edit: sorry, it was the steel link rods. I'll shut up now! []

Bum. I got one from OPC a month ago for a tenner.

Once i fitted it I narrowed down the next broken thing as either the switch or wiring between them - doublebum![:D]

ByTheWay, ( [8|] ) were 1983 Lux's ever meant to have boot release motors n stuff?

They are cheap but there are several different styles and your VIN number or build date won't necessairly land you the correct cable. The dealer ordered the wrong one for me 3 times in a row before the correct one came in!

So take your old cable out and with you when when you go to get the new one.
