My boot wont open!!!
When I press the button in the footwell I can hear a solonoid click but nothing happens? Also the key wont open it either.
Is there a way to open it to then find whats sticking?
Do I have to remove the locking bits either side with the tubes going in at the top?
Or is there another way?
The car has been stood for a while so I suppose the catches are seized.
 
Try crawling across the back seats and locating the inside of the boot keyhole. There are thin metal rods going from there to either side, they operate the circlips that hold the hatch down. With a degree of awkward manipulation you can manually pull these rods to open the boot.
 
Problem solved. Very rotten catches!!!
I removed both of them from the inside of the boot and up it came.
Two new ones have been ordered as I think the originals are beyond life!!
