Hi,
Could you let me know if the speakers behind the rear seats are speakers or a sub.

Her's the layout for a 996 Targa - coupe should be the same I would have thought.

I have the upgraded sound pack, i updated to a becker pro head unit an changed the six speakers to bose, but i have been offered a bose unit which goes behind the rear seat, just wanted to know if i power them as a sub.
 
Pace I'm not sure which model you have, but I believe Richard has kindly posted the Targa Bose set up, which is (if I'm right) as per the cabriolet. For the coupe/Turbo etc the sub woofer is mounted in the rear parcel shelf (not in the front footwell as per cab ) with outlets behind the rear seats!

I stand corrected, thanks Grant. I wonder why that is though. The drive mechanism for the roof is behind the rearmost panel, so I assumed there was the same space behind the seats. I presume the Bose sytem for the coupe is similar to the 997 then, with 13cm woofers behind the seats:

Sorry to be ignorant on this subject. My 996TT has two Bose subwoofer thingies coming out behind the back seat if that helps
