Boss Kit Help! Horn does not work :(

Hi all! I just bought a new momo steering wheel (slightly smaller than the stock steering diameter) and was hoping that someone could point me to buying the right boss kit. I have one currently but the horn does not work as there is no contact plate (ring) at the back of the boss. Does anyone know where I can buy one from?

Or does anybody know which equivalent VW/Audi cars of that age has the same set-up for the horn?

Thanks in advance!

Cheap bosses use the original horn ring so they will suit early and late type cars. A Momo boss will include a contact ring so it will only suit either 924 and series one 944, or series two 944 and 968.

You will see that the horn contact ring is secured to the original wheel by three screws. Swap this over to the boss and you'll be away.

If you're using a boss with an integrated contact ring then be absolutely sure that it's the correct fitment or smoke and tears will ensue...

thank you very much!as always your wealth of knowledge is invaluable.

One last question. Do I need to put grease on the contact plate/brush? Given that they will be grinding each other?

They had something on when they were new, but Im not sure what it was. By now its probably more like a black grinding paste. I have used Vaseline in the past but it might not be ideal.
