Bought a 944...

We (my son and I) have just bought a 944 for track day use. It's going to be a little project mostly for him over the forthcoming months. We'll most likely prep it to comply with the Club Championship regulations in case one of us fancies doing the odd race in it.

It's an '86 2.5 Lux, oval dash. It has black/red leather seats which are mint and will be coming out to be replaced with race seats eventually... so if anyone is interested in them...

Will be difficult driving without a seat though.....that's the way it reads......seats coming out......to be eventually replaced.....[:D]

Welcome to 944 ownership, Tim!

Keep us posted on the progress on the 944 forum, there are 2 track projects underway at the moment.

Is my grammar not correct Paul? [:D] It won't be used during the preparation period, so it won't matter whether there are seats in it or not! [;)]

Actually it's not the first time for me, Paul, technically speaking - I was a joint owner of two 944's in 2003, that were used as track day hire and corporate entertainment cars.

Hi Jonathan,

I'm Tim's Son and its actually my car, it has a very slight dent in the right wing, slight surface rust on both wings and on the right sill, its been priced up at around 250-300 to have it sorted, other than that its fine, as you can probably see the interior is immaculate, the seats are like new!
