Juat upgraded from a 944 Turbo to a 993 - collect it Friday and can't wait !!

Forgot to ask about alarms - what security would it have as standard - it's a 1995 Carrera 2. It has the usual immobiliser but not sure what else. Is this usually acceptable for insurance.

Thanks

good work.....!! welcome to the otherside

assuming it is RHD then it should have an alarm as std !

don't forget to post pics !

Just an update. Had my 993 24 hours now - done 150 miles already and I think it is great with no real problems.

Dipped beam was awful, so I removed lights to investigate. Drivers side dipped beam bulb was not located and making poor earth with the securing clip missing !! Made one out of a piece of springy wire using the other side clip as a pattern. Changed to Phillips 50% + bulbs (same wattage - £28) and a really huge improvement.

Speedo bulbs all blown - local motor shop had the right bulbs 1.5W and fitted 3 replacements so all aglow now !!

Clutch pedal sometimes binds last 2 inches on release - understand this is a common fault and will investigate this over weekend.

I'm off to Chichester now (55 miles away) - guess which car I am taking.

Someone asked what happened to my 944T - it was taken in part exchange and I got close to what I paid for it 5 years ago. Talk about cheap motoring - couldn't believe my luck.
