Hi - and Welcome! It's a bit difficult to gauge an answer without a few more specifics, but here goes: The exhaust switch - as in, it doesn't work, works when it feels like it, or you're not sure which is on or off? Headlight washer - this happened on mine, but basically, unless they're used occasionally (whether you actually need to or not) they seize and leak. Oil sensor - this will read high for a while after an oil change. The newer the oil is, the better the pressure. The reading should sit at about 3.5 bar once the engine is properly warmed through (oil temp will be around 90 once it is) Tracking - can be a bit unerving, but will 'dance' a bit at this speed. It can be dialled out if you prefer by a good alight, net specialist. And stop worrying. As long as the car is warmed through properly each time and given a proper rinsing on occasion, there's no reason you shouldn't enjoy many years of happy motoring :)

Finding my feet After 2 audi tt's it's so much better It feels like a event just to sit, get ready and drive

Hi My 2005 Carerra S always ran at nearly 5 bar and I worried at first and had it checked out by my OPC as it was under Porsche warranty however nothing was found to be wrong and it never missed a beat in all the time I owner her. No expert on the sensors but may be worth having it checked for peace of mind. - Not sure what you mean re exhaust switch but the gen 1 you have sounds much better than Gen 2 with the PSE in my opinion

Hi, similarly I've just picked up a 2005 997 C2S and have the same reading on my oil pressure gauge (around 5 all the time). Just wondered if this ever settled down or is it still the same?

cheers,

Matt

On both of the 997s I have had (2006 S and current C4S) the oil pressure reading had been 5 almost the whole time.

It is advisable to regularly check the oil level. I find the car consumes some oil when driven hard - such as on a 997 register weekend! For that reason I keep 1 litre in the boot so I can easily top up if necessary.
