Multi-Regional Concours- Bowood 2005. Sunday May 22nd

Region 16 (Gloucestershire) are this year being joined by Region 14 (South Wales) and Region 31 (Cotswold) for our ninth consecutive Annual Regional Concours at Bowood House, Calne, Wilts.

The Club are promoting Bowood as one of the principal "static" events in the South of England this year, because as you know the Club are returning to Brands Hatch again for 2005 which will be mainly an "Action" event, and many of the membership have asked for the oportunity to attend the more "Static" type of event.

It has been our policy for some years now to welcome not only members from the "Home Regions" but encourage visitors from all Regions and the Registers.

There will be both Street Class and Classic Class concours for both the "Home Regions" and "Visitors",and Register Director, Robin Walker, is donating a Trophy for the best Register presence,(not necessarily numbers, but display, layout etc. may be judged). This trophy has been one for the last two years by the 964/964 RS Register.

There will be an additional class in Concours for a Custom Class, to encourage people with modified or customised cars to come along and display them ( no replicas), and take part in a fun Concours judged by fellow entrants (depending on numbers entered).

Porsche Cars G.B. and Peter Lovett are providing some cars for a display, and other attractions are in the pipeline (depending on sponsorship).

Ian Foster and the members from South Wales will be organising a Driving Challenge and by popular request we are including an Auto Jumble in the event.

Costs will be £12 per car and all passengers - PREBOOKED -
£15 on the day, this includes entry to the Stately Home, the gardens,
and the famous childrens Adventure Playground.

There is a licenced restaurent, tea shop and a coffee/ snack shop.

Mobile Rolling Road Dyno Unit
We are trying to have this unit measuring up to 450bhp at Bowood on Sunday 22nd May.
I can negotiate prices if I can get a promise of 20 cars interested. It may be in the region of £35 to £40 per run. If I can get some sponsorship, we can subsidise this price (still trying!!).
Will anyone interested in using this service, please phone Tony Shannon on 01249 822405 or email r16@porscheclubgb.com, so that I can book the unit. See website and forum for details.
It is too expensive to book unless can get at least 20 cars.

Best Regards

Tony Shannon

My whole family (sadly no dogs allowed) had a cracking day here last year.

Let me know if you can make it -we have honour to uphold!!
