hi

i am thinking of getting box side skirts for my 944, but first i would like to know how they are fixed do you have to drill holes in the sill and bolt/screw or are they just help in place with double sided tape

the main reason for getting them is the previous owner have a very bad approach to his garage and on more that one occasion he has grounded out leaving small dents it the sill, so i was going to cover then up with box skirts also i like the look with them on

thanks for any help big al

By Box skirts do you mean 968 style skirts? I too like the look of these and like the idea of them protecting the sill from stone chips and dirty water. I also think the black plastic underbody trims never seem to fit properly and can look a bit tatty. I've spoken to a company that makes exact replicas and they said theirs fitted with a very strong double sided tape so no drilling into the sills was necessary. I'm not sure how genuine 968 parts would fit.

I've not decided if i'm going to go for it yet since I wanted to keep the car looking as original as possible from the outside apart from the usual wheels and exhaust
