Boxster 2.5 tiptronic engine required for my 1997 model. Last engine had done 64k but have been told today that the block is mashed. Cost me £1000 to find that information out so now have less money for an engine... can anyone help out or advise me.

My car has been off the road nearly a year now due to on going problems with the original garage that said they had done the work and hadnt but took 6k off me and the insurance company.

Honestly i just want rid of the whole thing. worse thing i ever did was buy that car although on the outside and interior its mint. just has no engine.

I know im chancing my luck my i got around 2k to play with. I probably got more chance of pissing in the queens handbag but i got to ask....

Cheers for reading the link and helpful replies most appriciated.

Ashley.

Ashley.

Get your £6K back from cowboy Joe and start again with a sensible budget.

One year off the road and ripped off for £6K doesn't make any sense to me at all []

well i will be taking them to the small claims court thats for sure.. again dont send your car to Chandler Stewart in Tun Bridge wells. Ripped me off from day one then refused to have anything to do with it.

Sensible budget. Well i should have kept my Golf VR6 or bought the subaru i was going to get before the boxster...again another mistake.

I dont have that kinda money. I paid 13k for this car, gave 6k to chandler stewart, thren im looking at another 5k which means i could have bought a boxster s 3.2 for the money i spent.

Not a happy bunny...

Great shame as the Boxster is a fantastic car by any standards ... Keep the faith and hopefully get the car sorted and start enjoying the Porsche ... Good luck

Yeah i like to beleive they are, but to be honest it ruin my image of porsche.. as a kid it was the car of all cars. im not rich but i could finally get a decent boxster so was over the moon. But since last december i have not had the car and been ripped off by everyone assosiated with porsche. Porsche stratford were no help and ended up having 4 different managers down there in the time i was liaising with them. High turn over of staff or what.

Ahh im sounding like a moany old git. but the faith has gone. I been keeping the faith for nearly a year. its run out. im physically drain and financially drained too.

There is no way out either. Looks like i can wave good by to the car and continue paying the loan off i got to get it.. yeah that sounds fair to me...

Cheers for your encouragement.
