Hi All,
I am new to the club and this is my first contact.
I just bought my first Porsche a few months ago and I think it could do with a new battery.
Please could any one suggest which battery I should get and where to get it from?
The other thing is, when I took the battery off the car to charge it in the garage, I put the key in the ignition, moved it to position 2, soo that the alarm didn't go off, but then I couldn't work out how to open the door because there wasn't any power to lower the window and I couldn't lock the car to make it secure over night. I connected a power pack to the car to operate the windows, but then when I removed the key, shut the car and removed the power pack the alarm went off?
Please can anyone help?
I look forward to meeting you all at one of the regions meetings soon.
Thanks very much.
Max

Hi Max and welcome to the Club!
Sorry I can’t help you with the details of what happened with your alarm, etc, but (in my opinion) any good battery of the correct rating and size for your Boxster needn’t be an expensive option, although I know Bosch Silver is a good choice which can be had at a reasonable price.

If you post this message again on the Boxster section of the forum, you will have more chance of getting an informed reply on your alarm problem?

Hope you sort it all out soon and I look forward to seeing you soon at our monthly meeting... the next one is soon, on Sat 13 May at Sharnbrook Hotel & Vesuvio Restaurant, Park Lane (off A6), Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire MK44 1LX.... See you there?

Hi pse_SC, Thanks very much for your message, hope to meet you soon at one of the monthly meetings.
