Boxster 2012 updates/recall

I have been contacted by Porsche Guildford to return my car (Boxster 981 2012) for mechanical and electronic updates taking 2 hours. Anyone else?

Mine was an oct 2012 car and was recalled about 6 weeks ago, pdk update and footwell drain plug updates nothing much

Just had the Interm Service light come on mine at only 3000 miles, apparently this is a software glitch that Porsche are still trying to find a cure for, however checked for any updates on mine and it needs some other software update and some kind of a plate on the gearbox/gearchange I think she said, none are urgent but considering the car was only built in February this year you would not expect anything just yet, however taking it in next week to get done all bar the service light until the find the cure.

Thanks for the info. Porsche Guilford completed the update and cured a rattle from the roll-over bar plastics. Excellent service, with full car valet,[] gave plenty of time for my wife's shopping and lunch.

One should expect anything with a brand new model for at least the first 12 months by which time most of the glitches never found before production should be well and truly sorted[]

Received letter from Porsche Guildford to rectify the problem you had plus failure of multi-function display under certain circumstances. Looks like another shopping spree for my wife in Guildford.

I also had a letter from OPC Guildford re same issue. However, as I bought my car from OPC Bournemouth this seemed odd. Not even in same Group. Guildford had no idea how that happened but had my vin no.!! OPC Portsmouth will be doing the work. SPREAD THE LOVE!!
