Hi All,
Just sold a 987 Spyder, fancy a more useable Boxster with a classy rather than racey look for change. Have seen an unusual colour car in Mahogany that I'm going to take a look at later. If anyone has or knows of any for sale at the moment, please let me know as I would prefer to buy from a PCGB member having bought cars previously over the past 30 years of membership.
Many thanks in advance for any reply's.

I do like Mahogany but it's a bit of a Marmite colour. It's glittery in the sunshine [:)] An S with a high spec can be every bit as good as a GTS and at least £10k cheaper ...

I cross shopped 981S and GTS , in the end the S had the colour / options i wanted.
Either way can work. GTS costs more but will be worth more later.

It is went to have look last night, looks a nice well kept car. Had some paint on front / wings but looks very promising. Anything you can impart that a new (maybe) owner may want to know??? Great spec and the colour looks fab in the sunlight with a very nice unmarked interior.

Exactly my conclusion on the S model, it will be used and mileage is >50k already.

Unusual colour combo v GTS, useable, great spec and kept well will still be striking in years to come.

GTS all day long. [;)]
That was my view, think it's changed after seeing the S. Decisions - Decisions!

Just had a look. Its reserved ! I guess you are going for a test drive ! It looks nice.
Nice spec , though no PASM. Roof looks black and not brown ??
Its a 2013 so may have steering vagueness. My 2015 felt tighter than earlier ones i tried.

Deed is done, test drive and paperwork last night. Couple of things need sorting before collection. Hood is Black, No PASM decent spec - 'No virgins in the Bordello' as a wise man once said - Mr Sturdee 2006

I don't think you'll be disappointed. I spec'd my Cayman without PASM from new and very happy without it. Great colour choice too! enjoy!

Great, it dove exceptionally well, and its been looked after with Porsche through its life. Very different on the colour but in the metal looks great. Many thanks for the note.

I had a 981 Cayman without PASM and it was fabluous. You will love your Boxster. The 981 series does it for me with that flat 6!

I went from a 987 to a 981S with very few options.
The basic car is amazing.
Don't think the extra money for a car with toys is worth it unless toys are your thing.
Don't forget that with all these hi-tech add-ons they could be very expensive to fix if something goes wrong.
Have never driven a GTS but again a lot of extra money for some extra horse power and some other options as standard.
My S is in lime gold, a marmite colour also but most of the comments I have had have been favourable to it.
Its enough to make my car be different without loads of extras.
Likewise I like the mahogany colour with the lighter trim, just sets the car apart from the normal black, white, red and silver.
Everyone to their own.

There was £17K of difference between my 1 owner 34K mile Boxster S and the cheapest GTS at time of purchase. It was a very straightforward decision which car to buy.

Enjoy your new car, it looks fantastic and I think the colour is superb.

Prices are crazy now!
I sold my great spec 981S 3 yrs ago 45k miles for £31.5k 2014 mdl
mahogany car looks nice
lovely cars
