Boxster 981

Driven a few miles now in my new yellow peril. Obviously it is brilliant. That was to be expected.

But what, if anything, I don't like?

1. View through the optional wind deflector is not brilliant and it should not be an extra!
2. The handbook contains a few errors.
3. If one selects satellite view on the map, it appears at about 3/4 mile scale but is blurred. Hence useless.
4. Radio frequency storage is not very intuitive. And why do they always store teen/pop channels during the PDI.
5. Why does the driver's manual state I have a DAB radio, when the dealership tells me' Oh, that will come for June build?
6. Why, or why, is there no industry standard for cruise control operation. Porsche is opposite to an Audi.
7. I still cannot read/send SMS messages (I could with my 997).

However, all this is trivia. The car is great.

glad you are enjoying 981 derek!! i have a had a loan new 981 for 3-4 weeks now and agree the rear visibilty with the dreadful screen[] overall its brill though

Nice car Derek ....it is bright mind you and that is coming from a Speed Yellow owner ! Certainly better than the boring silvers and black .Saw one in the flesh last week and have to say looks stunning.Enjoy and add it to your long and varied list of Porsche's owned . Brian

Well Derek, hopefully you'll be driving too fast to attract greenfly. Agree, the rear view through the fabric windshield is just awful!. Cannot understand anyone ever using a sound system in such a car unless it's a daily driver, particularly if you have a PSE. Polluting the engine/exhaust with extraneous sounds is just criminal! Hey though, what a motor!!

Yep move buckle up, love the car, getting a bit of wind noise on drivers side guess the seal needs looking at, but it can wait only happens at over 75 . I can't wait for sunny days and roof down .
