Hi, my first post here. On my way home tonight above warning light came on and car stalled. Turned ignition on and back on again and car started straight away and drove fine With no light or power reduction.
Other forums suggest this is a known problem with the high pressure fuel pump on the gen2.
Some appear to have been replaced when failed By Porsche.
Anyone else seen this issue and/ or a solution?
Is the car going to leave me stranded?

When I had my 987.2 Cayman 3.4S it had its high pressure fuel pump replaced by Porsche, I think under what Porsche call a Service Campaign. At the time the car was under warranty but showed no signs of a problem with the pump. A Service Campaign is not the same as a recall. A recall is a safety critical item where the manufacturer contacts all owners of the subject vehicles via the DVLA. A service campaign is a Porsche-instigated activity which only occurs if the vehicle goes into a Porsche Centre for service or repair, or if the owner calls a Porsche Centre to find out if there are any service campaigns outstanding on that vehicle. My understanding is that service campaigns do not expire and hence are still relevant after the warranty expires - plenty of cars which have been out of the Porsche Centre network for years get them done a decade or so after they were first issued. If my understanding is correct, it might just be worth calling your local Porsche Centre, establishing whether the HPFP replacement on early Gen 2 cars was a Service Campaign, and if so whether yours was included, done, or neither.
I can't answer your other questions but I'm sure that somebody who can will be along shortly!
