Boxster audio HELP

Last year I bought a Boxster that had an aftermarket CD player. I would like to take it out and replace it with either a CD22 or CDR22 (depending if I can get a good one on ebay) to make it feel more original.

Question is through what does the CDR22 actually do? - does it play CDs or does it just control a CD changer which would then have to be an additonal purchase.

What other options are there out there and what options are there for connecting an ipod without using those terrible FM transmitters.

thanks for your help.

It will play CD's and control a changer. You can buy a cable for a small amount on ebay to give you a line in on the CD changer instead of the CD changer so you can plug in an iPod or your phone. A search around the internet will find the key sequence to change it from CD changer to Aux in.

There are a couple of CDR-22's currently on ebay.

Note: There is also a CR-22 that does not have a CD player.
