Boxster badge

I broke the Boxster badge on the rear boot on Saturday. Its a 2007 model year car and the badge is a grey colour.
Looking at Porsche shop I can only see black or chrome badges- anyone have any idea where I could get the correct one ?
Also how is the badge attatched ? Is it self sealing, ie does it come ready glued?

best bet will be opc for original, and they are just held on with double sided tape, just be careful when taking old off and put some tape round the old one to stop you marking the bodywork and so you know where the new one goes

Warm the old one with a hairdrier, and then use soem dental flos to 'saw' through the adhesive on the back. clean up the paintwork and drop the new one in place.

I was just trying to avoid a 1 hour drive to order the badge, then a 1 hour drive to find they'd ordered the wrong part followed by another 1 hour drive to collect the correct part.

Thanks for the advice on how to change it.

Might I suggest that you use very hot water and pour it over the 'old' badge. You can then remove it and the glue either using dental floss or your nails.

Then position the new badge very, very carefully before you remove the masking over the rear of the new badge.

They will usually post it if you ask

I have an original Boxster (not S) in titanium but it no longer has the adhesive backing. Its perfect and from my 06 but I wanted the chrome version. I just need to remember where I put it ;-)

Do you want to make me an offer - I'm based in West Sussex but could post if interested. PM for more details.
