Auto Express group test has the new Audi TT Roadster beating the grand daddy of roadsters into 2nd place [&o]

Time for Porsche to get brave and revamp the best mid engined roadster money can buy before it gets pushed into 3rd place!!

And I don't think l.e.d. lights and tickled bumpers will be enough next face lift [;)]

Looking at the stars it was beaten on Style/Image; Interior/Quality and Ownership cost. Shouldn't the Engine/Performance and Driving Experience, which it had the highest stars, weigh more? Apart from the ownership cost, guess the facelift will fix the first two?

Ownership costs could easily be fixed if Porsche chose to match or get closer too Independants pricing structures which in turn would drastically increase volumes passing through there side doors [;)] but then this may make them a lot busier but not necessarily any more profitable []

First two won't be fixed by the proposed scooped facelift shots seen so far which maybe fine for Boxster die hards but won't win over those who are already unimpressed with current styling circa 96-2007

Don't forget it was a 2.7 not a 3.2. The Audi was the 3.2.

The Style/Image, Interior/Quality and Ownership cost is not fixed in the Boxster S [;)]

The 2.7's Engine/Performance and Driving Experience is better than the Audi 3.2

Can I see a 3.4 Boxster S versus Audi TT 3.4 test please ??? errr no coz we all no what would be best ...

I beleive the 2L SDCIGTE Astra is better than the 1L base model Astra as well

All this in Auto Express? I think the Beano is a more serious motoring journal....

Besides, the text says that the "Porsche is a peerless driving experience..". If you want a car that is great to drive, get the Box. If you want a car to look good in, get the TT. That has been the mantra for years in anycase.
